  7. I’m genuinely saddened to see Odin losing so hard. If the song it was going against was any good, I might be able to accept it, but as it stands Metallica(the guitarist seems to have gone to great pains to emulate the tone of Master of Puppets album) paired with your average anime vocals is simply not the pinnacle of musicianship.

  9. LONELY WAY sounds way too generic and old. Even if we moved this back to the 80s, it would still end up sounding generic plus the vocalist isn’t good. Gravity uses the idea of keeping it simple which if planned from the start can work but the song is overly bland. Good to get you to relax but not one that you’ll remember. Still its way better than LONELY WAY.

    Howling sounds meh but Odin sounds worse. When you can guess when a song was done, you know that’s because it really, really sounds dated. Also one of the reasons why great songs from the past like Loving Heart from Kimagure Orange Road would not make it now. In contrast, Suki Sa from Maison Ikkoku sounds less dated and Pure Snow doesn’t sound dated at all despite being over a decade old

    True Light sounds like they simply grabbed a young teenage male off the street, stuck a mike in his hand and told him to sing… Inner Universe wins because
    i) it has a much better singer.
    ii) The vocalist is so much better
    iii) The vocals for Inner Universe is way more polished
    Did i mention that whoever was providing the voice for Inner Universe was so much better?

    Natsu Machi and For Fruits Basket are both on par with each other for me. For Fruits Basket would sound much better if there wasn’t an attempt to create a duo using echoing so will have to go with Natsu Machi.

  12. Odin is a cool song, although the vocals are a little thin in places it’s pretty epic. Definitely would get my vote if it was up against a lot of other tracks…
    But I REALLY like HOWLING (and abs in general) so voted for it instead. A bit sad that they have to go up against each other now.

  13. Really love the synth that Odin brings into the equatlon. And for the first couple of rounds, it’s just not fair for any song that goes up against “Inner Universe”. Not at all.

  16. I’m out of ideas to save the song. Not giving up yet, but the cause is hard. Also, I’m uber glad it’s taken another 2 percent of the market share!
