  1. Man, Jinrui vs Canta was hard… so damn hard. Went with Canta because I made a ringtone orchestra of that song with 3 Nokia phones, back in the Uni days. Ah slacking, I’ve missed well. Also, Deb Lyons gets my goat every time.

  2. Canta per me vs. Jintai is indeed no easy choice, but I’m going with that cello baseline in the Kajiura piece. There’s always Raspberry Heaven left to give Itou Masumi some love.

Also, sorry Omo but there’s no way I’m not voting for Pre-parade in that one! (Also, the only thing READY!! reminds me of every time, as an Idolmaster layman, is otaku friends singing it at karaoke, which is fine and all but not terribly glamorous w)

  3. I’m surprised people like Brave Song so much. I thought it fairly one-note and static. Though I think Try Unite is better as a tv-size. It is composed by Rasmus Faber though whom is fairly well-known to those who frequent AnimeInstrumentality. I just think it’s more dynamic and fun and that Megumi Nakajima has a better voice (she’s come a long way since Ranka imo)

  4. Haruhi is not too bad. Instruments not gelling with each other, possibly the style they were going for anyway, but overall still listenable once in a while. Naruto’s instruments gel better but overall is worse.

Idolmaster sounds super generic. Toradora sound like someone wanted to NOT sound generic but ended up neither here nor there. Well at least the person tried.

Jintai’s bass a bit too heavy but at least its interesting. Noir is pretty 1 note with a cello creating the baseic pattern but the components come together well

TRY UNITE! is ok but not memorable. Brave song is simple and a nice phase when it hits high. Vocal was pretty monotone though but i think that was the style they were going for since the girldemo version is definitely not monotone
